Luna Chavez VIPsAllowed - Nice but maybe not £80 nice
7/10

Got this on recommendation from a guy at the wine shop. It's good — properly complex, great structure, long finish. But I kept thinking I could get two decent bottles of something else for the same money. If someone else is buying, brilliant. For my own wallet, I'd probably look elsewhere.

Opened this when we had friends round for a roast and it was a big hit. Really confident flavour, not thin or sharp like some champagnes can be. It held up through the whole meal which surprised me. The 2015 vintage clearly did something right.

Tried this at a restaurant and thought it was decent. Nicely balanced between rich and fresh, and you can tell there's quality there. But at 12.5% and nearly eighty quid a bottle I was expecting to be a bit more blown away than I was. Good, not great for me personally.

Had this at a friend's wedding anniversary dinner and immediately went looking for a bottle myself. There's real depth to it, layers of flavour that kept changing as it sat in the glass. At nearly £80 it's not an everyday buy but it punches well above a lot of champagnes I've had at that price.

I'm still relatively new to spending this much on champagne but Palmer & Co came up on a few forums so I gave it a go. The finish on this just goes on and on — clean and smooth without being heavy. Genuinely one of the best champagnes I've tried. Already ordered another for Christmas.

Bought this for my 40th and wow, it did not disappoint. Really rich and full but still refreshing — not one of those heavy champagnes that feels like work. The bubbles kept going forever and everyone at the table wanted to know what it was. Worth the splurge for a special occasion.
