First Impressions

Mumm RSRV Blanc de Blancs 2015 Champagne arrives at £50.95, positioning it in the mid-to-premium bracket where quality must shine. 75cl / 12% - The 2015-vintage RSRV Blanc de Blancs Champagne from Maison Mumm is made exclusively with Grand Cru grapes from the beautifully chalky soils of Cramant - a Grand Cru.

France's winemaking heritage needs no introduction, but the best producers continue to find new ways to express their terroir while honouring centuries of tradition. Mumm is a name worth knowing in this context.

On the Nose and Palate

The nose offers delicate nose of white peach, fresh bread, and a hint of chalk and lemon curd. Moving to the palate, the wine is rich and layered, offering baked apple, hazelnut, and a creamy mousse with a dry mineral core. The finish is lingering and refined, with a final note of almond, citrus, and a dry mineral finish.

Food Pairing and Serving

Equally at home as an aperitif or alongside seafood, sushi, or delicate canapés. Serve at 8-10°C in proper flutes or, better yet, white wine glasses to appreciate the full bouquet.

Benjamin Ross VIPsAllowed - Solid blanc de blancs

I've been getting into champagne lately and the guy at my local wine shop pointed me towards this. Really elegant stuff — you get that classic Chardonnay freshness but with a nutty, bready depth underneath. The finish goes on forever too. Would definitely buy again.

Saw this on a restaurant menu and thought I'd try it. It's a well-made champagne for sure — creamy, appley, nice dry finish. But I've had Mumm before and expected to be blown away at this price point. It's good, just not sure it's fifty quid good when their regular stuff is half that.

Bought this for my 40th and honestly it was the highlight of the evening. The bubbles are so creamy and smooth, and there's this lovely baked apple thing going on that I wasn't expecting from a champagne. At fifty quid it's not cheap but for a special occasion? Absolutely worth it.

8/10

My wife loves champagne so I grabbed this for our anniversary. She said it tasted like peaches and fresh bread which I thought was weirdly specific but she was right. Really smooth and dry without being harsh. We finished the bottle embarrassingly fast.

Isla McCallister VIPsAllowed - Nice but bit pricey for what it is
7/10

Had this at a friend's dinner party and it was good, don't get me wrong. Lovely lemony citrus notes and nice fine bubbles. But for £50 I think there are champagnes that give you a bit more bang for your buck. I'd maybe pick it up if it was on offer.

8/10

Picked up two bottles for Christmas day and everyone loved it. Really rich and layered for a blanc de blancs, with hazelnut and citrus coming through. Even my dad who normally drinks lager said it was lovely. The 2015 vintage clearly had some proper time to develop.

Luna Chavez VIPsAllowed - This one surprised me

I usually just grab whatever prosecco is on sale so £50 on a champagne felt mad. But wow, this is genuinely a step up. There's an almond and chalky thing on the finish that just lingers. Made me feel quite fancy on a Tuesday night.
