Noah Williams VIPsAllowed - Incredible with seafood
8/10

Opened this with a big plate of grilled prawns and it was a dream. The citrus and mineral dryness at the end cut right through the richness. Dangerous how easy it is to drink for 13.5%.

Picked this up for a dinner party and it went down well enough. Nice and fresh, good acidity, bit of a nutty thing going on. Honestly though at this price point I was expecting to be blown away and it was more like quietly impressed. Still good wine, just manage your expectations.

The guy at my local said this was the best white Burgundy he'd had all year. He wasn't wrong. Super fresh, loads of lemon and stone fruit, and a dry chalky finish that makes you want another sip immediately. Shared it with my wife over a roast chicken and it was perfect.

Hannah Brooks VIPsAllowed - This changed my mind about chardonnay
9/10

I always thought I didn't like chardonnay because I was drinking the wrong ones. This is nothing like the cheap stuff — it's so bright and zippy with lime and apple flavours. The finish goes on forever. Genuinely special bottle.

Bought this for my 40th and wow, glad I did. The freshness is unreal — all citrus and white peach, and it just keeps going. At £199 it's not an everyday thing but for a special occasion? Absolutely worth it.

Kai Oliveira VIPsAllowed - Fancy anniversary dinner sorted
8/10

Got this for our anniversary after reading about Thierry Pillot online. The white flower and lime zest on the nose had me hooked before I even tasted it. Really clean and focused — not heavy at all. We finished the bottle embarrassingly fast. Would buy again if my wallet recovers.

Rosa Paredes VIPsAllowed - Proper Burgundy white
8/10

Had this at a restaurant in Bath and liked it enough to track a bottle down. Really crisp chardonnay with a lovely mineral thing going on at the end. Not your oaky, buttery style at all — much more restrained and elegant.

James Okafor VIPsAllowed - Great wine, hard to justify the price
7/10

Look, it's delicious. The acidity is spot on and there's a nice hazelnut hint underneath the fruit. But £199 for a bottle of white? I've had Meursaults at half the price that come close. One for when someone else is paying.
