Ruth Banks VIPsAllowed - Fine but nothing special
5/10

It's alright. Clean and easy to drink, nothing offensive about it, but I've had Chilean sauvignon blancs at £8-9 that were just as good. The finish is nice enough but the middle bit felt a bit hollow to me. Wouldn't rush to buy it again at fifteen quid.

The guy in my local wine shop recommended this and he was spot on. Really expressive nose — you can smell it as soon as you pour. Lovely clean finish that keeps you coming back for more. Matetic clearly know what they're doing. Would happily buy again.

Picked this up from Majestic on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Fresh and crisp with good acidity, proper sauvignon blanc character without being too in-your-face. At £14.95 it's a solid midweek treat — went perfectly with the salmon we had on Wednesday.

Brought this to a friend's birthday dinner and it went down well. Light at 12% which was actually great because we were on our second bottle by the time the starter arrived. Crisp and balanced, everyone seemed to enjoy it. Not the most exciting wine I've ever had but did the job nicely.

Ok so I'm not a massive white wine person usually but this was genuinely lovely. Really well balanced between the fruit and the acidity, and the finish just lingers in a really pleasant way. My partner and I polished off the bottle with some goats cheese and crackers and it was perfect. Already ordered more.

Had this chilled in the garden last weekend. It's well made and there's more going on than your average supermarket sauv blanc — layers of flavour that build up as you drink it. Just wish it had a bit more punch in the middle. Still, at under £15 I'm not complaining.
