Ethan Cooper VIPsAllowed - Nice wine, bit overhyped
7/10

Don't get me wrong, this is a solid Sauvignon Blanc with good acidity and some interesting depth. But I've had Italian whites at half the price that gave me just as much enjoyment. The magnum format is fun for sharing though and it stayed fresh right to the last glass.

Picked this up after reading about Terlan wines online. It's not one of those whites that hits you over the head — it sort of reveals itself slowly. Really clean finish with a mineral quality that lingers. Paired it with grilled sea bass and it was perfect.

Jake Morrison VIPsAllowed - Best white I've had this year
10/10

The guy at my local wine shop recommended this and honestly I thought he was having a laugh at the price. But wow. Layer after layer of flavour, flinty and focused but never harsh. At 12% ABV it's dangerously easy to drink — we finished the magnum between three of us without even noticing.

Henrik Larsen VIPsAllowed - Really good but that price tag stings

Look, it's a genuinely lovely wine. Beautiful stone fruit on the nose and a finish that just goes on and on. But £135 is a lot for a Sauvignon Blanc, magnum or not. I'd buy it again for a dinner party where I wanted to show off, but it's not becoming a regular purchase.

9/10

Bought this for Christmas day and it went down an absolute treat with the salmon starter. My dad kept saying how crisp and refreshing it was — high praise from a man who usually only drinks red. There's a flinty, almost stony quality to it that makes it feel really classy. Would definitely get it again for a special occasion.

Had this at a restaurant in Bolzano last autumn and tracked down a bottle when I got home. Proper structured Sauvignon Blanc, nothing like the New Zealand stuff I usually drink. The acidity is razor sharp but there's enough fruit to keep it interesting. Only knocking a point off because I think you can find similar quality for less if you shop around.

9/10

Bought the magnum for my wife's 40th birthday dinner and it was the star of the evening. Really minerally and crisp but with this lovely stone fruit thing going on underneath. We kept going back for more — it just doesn't get boring. At £135 for a magnum it's not cheap but for a big occasion it felt right.
