Natasha Volkov VIPsAllowed - Birthday treat that delivered
9/10

Got this as a birthday present to myself because I've been wanting to try a proper German Riesling. The clarity and freshness is unreal — every sip just makes you want another one. At £55 it's not an everyday bottle but honestly felt worth it for a special occasion. Absolutely loved it with some roast chicken.

Dmitri Volkov VIPsAllowed - This is what good Riesling tastes like
8/10

Picked this up after reading about Egon Muller online. At 12% it's lighter than what I usually drink but it doesn't feel thin at all — there's real substance there. The acidity keeps everything lively and it just unfolds the more you drink it. Went brilliantly with takeaway Thai.

Ruth Banks VIPsAllowed - Converted my red wine friends
8/10

Brought this to a friend's dinner and even the people who "only drink red" were impressed. It's so precise and fresh, nothing sweet or flabby about it. The finish lingers in a really pleasant way without being heavy. Not cheap but it made the evening feel a bit special.

Haruki Sato VIPsAllowed - Really nice but steep price
7/10

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something crisp and interesting for a dinner party. It's genuinely lovely — great balance, clean finish, proper depth to it. But £55 is a lot and I've had Rieslings at half the price that got me almost as excited. Would buy again on sale.
