Daisy Miller VIPsAllowed - Birthday splurge that delivered
10/10

Bought this for my 40th and wow. The honeycomb and peach thing is real — it's sweet but not in a cloying way, more like perfectly ripe fruit with this zippy acidity that keeps you going back. At £165 it better be good, and it absolutely is. One of the best wines I've ever had.

Marcus Blackwell VIPsAllowed - Really nice, still learning about German wines
8/10

I'm fairly new to German wines and this was recommended on a forum. It's definitely sweet but not like dessert-sweet if that makes sense? There's this bright acidity that cuts through. I got the honeycomb thing the description mentions. Expensive for me but a good experience.

Ravi Krishnan VIPsAllowed - Lovely but hard to justify the price
8/10

A friend brought this to dinner and I can see why people rave about it. Really elegant, great balance of sweetness and acidity, and that stony mineral finish is something else. But £165 is a LOT of money and I'm not sure it's twice as good as wines at half the price.

Aiko Tanaka VIPsAllowed - The apricot finish haunted me
9/10

Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop talked me into it. Glad he did. The stone fruit flavours are gorgeous and it's got this slate-y thing going on underneath that makes it way more interesting than your average sweet wine. Kept thinking about it the next day.

Mia Sundberg VIPsAllowed - Stunning with cheese
9/10

Had this with a blue cheese board at a dinner party and it was an unreal pairing. Sweet but sharp at the same time, loads of peach and citrus peel. Everyone at the table went quiet for a second after the first sip which tells you everything really.

Tyler Bennet VIPsAllowed - Absolute perfection in a glass
10/10

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and treated myself. The balance is just insane — properly sweet but that electric acidity means it never feels heavy. Layers and layers of flavour that kept changing as it sat in the glass. Already looking for another bottle to put away for a few years.
