Olivia Wong VIPsAllowed - Best wine I've ever had, full stop
10/10

My mate brought this to a dinner party and I honestly didn't want to share it. The structure is insane — really firm tannins but silky smooth at the same time. Every sip I was picking up something new, earthy spice, minerals, layers of dark fruit. I'm still thinking about it three weeks later.

7/10

The wine shop guy talked me into this as a step up from my usual Burgundy. It's lovely, don't get me wrong — clean acidity, nice dark cherry flavours, long finish. But at this price point I was expecting to be completely blown away and I wasn't quite there. Maybe I need to cellar the other bottle a few more years.

Treated myself for my 50th birthday. First pour was already great — violets and dark fruit jumping out of the glass. But an hour later it was on another level, all this earthy spice complexity came through. The finish just lingers and lingers. Cathiard knows what he's doing.

Bought this for our 10th wedding anniversary and wow. The dark cherry and violet thing going on is incredible, and it just kept getting better the longer it sat in the glass. Finish goes on forever. At £950 it's not an everyday bottle obviously, but for a once-in-a-lifetime occasion it delivered.

Saw this on the tasting list at a Burgundy event and had to try it. The nose is confident straight away, cherry and violets with something almost metallic underneath. Tannins are firm but really polished, and the acidity keeps everything fresh. Beautiful wine — I just wish I could afford a whole bottle to drink at home.

Celeste Moreno VIPsAllowed - Shared with friends who know nothing about wine

Cracked this open with the lads for a big steak night and even my mate who normally drinks lager said it was unreal. Really rich and structured but not heavy if that makes sense. The spice on the finish paired so well with the ribeyes. Everyone kept asking what it was.

Alex Ramos VIPsAllowed - Stunning but hard to justify the price
8/10

Had this at a restaurant in London and it was genuinely amazing. Super expressive nose, loads of cherry and a kind of iron-y minerality that I really liked. But at £950 a bottle I just can't say it's ten times better than a £95 Burgundy. Close to perfect wine though if money's no object.
