Opened this for a dinner party and everyone commented on it. That finish just goes on and on — peachy and mineral and clean. The hazelnut note on the nose is subtle but once you catch it you can't stop noticing it. One of the best whites I've had this year.

If you think you don't like Chardonnay, try this. Nothing like those oaky butter bombs — it's all crisp citrus and white flowers with a lovely nutty undertone. Had it with roast chicken and it was perfect.

Got this as a birthday present to myself because I'd been eyeing Burgundy whites for a while. The creamy almond thing on the palate is gorgeous and that chalky dry finish just makes you want another sip. At £120 it's not an everyday bottle but for a special occasion? Absolutely worth it.

Picked this up after reading about Jobard's Meursaults online. Had it with pan-fried scallops and honestly it was one of those meals you just remember. The acidity cuts through richer food brilliantly and that almond and pear flavour is so satisfying. Treat yourself.

Devon Marsh VIPsAllowed - Nice wine, expected more for the money

Saw this on a restaurant menu and figured why not. It's good — creamy texture, nice lemony finish with that chalky mineral thing going on. But I dunno, at this price point I was expecting to be blown away and I was more like... yeah that's really nice. Not mind-blowing though.

Derek Chang VIPsAllowed - Meursault done right
8/10

Been slowly working my way through Meursault producers and Jobard is up there. Rich without being heavy, acidic enough to keep things fresh at 13.5%. The golden apple and lime on the nose drew me in straight away. Lovely stuff.

Gianluca Ferro VIPsAllowed - Really good but hard to justify the price
7/10

The wine shop guy recommended this and yeah it's delicious — pear and lemon flavours, long finish, beautifully balanced. But £120 for a bottle of white? I've had wines at half that price that came close. Would I buy it again? Probably not unless someone else is paying.
