Nice but a bit pricey

It's a solid red with good structure and a clean finish that lingers nicely. But nearly £38 is a lot and I'm not sure it does enough more than bottles at the £25 mark to justify the jump. Would drink again if someone else was buying though.

Punches above its weight

Saw this on a restaurant menu and took a chance on it. Really glad I did. It's got proper structure to it — not just fruit bomb nonsense — and the finish is long and clean without being bitter. The 14% ABV is well hidden which is always a good sign. Would happily order again.

Wow this is special

Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop wouldn't stop going on about it. He was right — it's got this amazing warmth to it without being heavy, and the fruit is really well balanced with a nice acidity that keeps you coming back. Absolutely loved it, already ordered another bottle.

Decent, needs food though

Tried this on its own first and thought it was fine, nothing amazing. Then had it with a steak pie and it completely opened up. The acidity cuts through rich food really well. I think at this price point you want to save it for a proper meal rather than just Tuesday night telly.

Birthday treat that delivered

My partner got me this for my birthday after seeing Adrien Berlioz recommended somewhere online. It's genuinely one of the most interesting reds I've had in a while — the nose alone is worth the price of admission. Kept wanting to go back for another sniff before even sipping. Will be buying more of his stuff.

Great dinner party wine

Bought this for a dinner party and it went down really well. Everyone commented on it, especially how expressive the nose is — you get a lot going on just from smelling it. At £37.75 it's not cheap but it felt worth it for an occasion.

Perfect with lamb

Had this with slow-cooked lamb shoulder on a Sunday and it was a perfect match. The 14% gives it a nice warmth without being boozy, and there's a layered complexity to it that kept me interested through the whole bottle. Really clean finish too.
