Daisy Miller VIPsAllowed - Worth every penny for a special night
8/10

Bought this for our anniversary and it was absolutely stunning. The bubbles are so fine and delicate, and there's this amazing toasty, bready thing going on that I wasn't expecting from a champagne. At £200 it's not an everyday drink but for a big occasion it's hard to beat.

I'm still pretty new to caring about what champagne I drink but this was on another level. So smooth and the flavour just keeps going and going after you swallow. There's a chalky mineral thing at the end that sounds weird but it makes you want another sip immediately. Splurged on it after reading about the 2007 vintage and no regrets.

Opened this for New Year's with friends and everyone was fighting over the last glass. The bread and pastry notes from the ageing are incredible and the mousse is so fine it's almost silky. Yes it's £200 but split between four of us for a celebration it felt completely justified. Already planning to buy another bottle.

Picked this up from a specialist wine shop on their recommendation. Classic blanc des millénaires style — the Chardonnay really shines through with that white peach and pastry cream richness. Acidity keeps it fresh and lively. I'd give it a 7, maybe an 8 on a good day.

Had this at a restaurant after the sommelier recommended it. It's nice — creamy, lots of stone fruit, lovely long finish — but honestly for £200 I've had champagnes that impressed me more. The toasty depth is cool and it's clearly well-made, I just think you're paying a lot for the name.

Got this as a birthday present and glad I saved it for a proper occasion. Really rich and full without being heavy, and the peach and lemon curd notes are gorgeous. My wife said it tasted like the poshest toast she'd ever had, which is weirdly accurate.
