Nice but not amazing

Saw this on a restaurant menu and thought I'd try it. It's pleasant enough, pretty bubbles and goes down easy. But for over thirty quid I was hoping for something a bit more memorable. Would probably just go for their regular brut next time which I think is cheaper.

Bit pricey for what it is

The wine shop guy recommended this and it's fine, perfectly drinkable, but £32.50 feels steep for a non-vintage. I've had Spanish cavas that I've enjoyed just as much for half the price. That said the bubbles are lovely and it's very easy drinking at 12.5%.

Great with food

Served this with salmon and it was a really good match. The acidity cuts through richer food nicely and it doesn't feel heavy at all. My partner who normally only drinks red wine even said she liked it, so that's saying something.

Surprised how much I liked this

Not usually a sparkling rosé person but picked this up on a whim from Chapel Down. Actually really enjoyed it — there's more going on flavour-wise than I expected. The finish is clean and it just makes you want to keep sipping. Would definitely buy again for a sunny afternoon in the garden.

Perfect for our anniversary

Bought this for our anniversary dinner and it went down a treat. Really lovely pink colour and the bubbles are super fine — felt properly fancy. At £32.50 it's not cheap but honestly for English sparkling it's pretty fair and tastes way better than prosecco at the same price.

Solid English fizz

Had this at a friend's barbecue and was impressed enough to grab a bottle myself. Nice and crisp with good acidity, not too sweet which I appreciate. It's a decent all-rounder but I wouldn't say it blew me away — just a reliably good sparkling rosé.

English sparkling is getting so good

I keep banging on about English sparkling to anyone who'll listen and Chapel Down is a big reason why. This rosé is genuinely complex — you can taste that real care has gone into blending it. The mousse is incredibly fine and persistent. Bought a case for Christmas presents last year and everyone loved it.
