Exceptionally long with a trail of citrus, toasted bread, and chalky minerality

First Impressions

Bollinger Rose NV Champagne arrives at £62.95 for 75cl, and at this price point, expectations are rightly elevated. Pink champagne from one of the grandest of the Grandes Marques, Bollinger Rosé is a particularly fine, fruity & full-flavoured pinky, and like all Bollinger champagnes it's oozing class

France's winemaking heritage needs no introduction, but the best producers continue to find new ways to express their terroir while honouring centuries of tradition. Bollinger is a name worth knowing in this context.

On the Nose and Palate

The nose offers fine and persistent mousse releasing aromas of brioche, toasted almond, and citrus blossom. Moving to the palate, the wine is elegant and linear, with lemon curd, white flower, and mineral-driven acidity providing exceptional length. The finish is exceptionally long with a trail of citrus, toasted bread, and chalky minerality.

Food Pairing and Serving

Equally at home as an aperitif or alongside seafood, sushi, or delicate canapes. Serve at 8–10°C in proper flutes or, better yet, white wine glasses to appreciate the full bouquet.

The Verdict

Bollinger Rose NV Champagne earns a well-deserved 8 out of 10. This is an outstanding champagne that delivers its blend with genuine conviction and craft. At £62.95, this sits in premium territory, and it delivers the quality to match. Whether you're building a cellar or simply looking for something excellent to drink tonight, this bottle earns its place.

Picked this up for a fancy fish supper at home and it was a perfect match. Really precise and zesty — lemon curd vibes with a bone-dry finish. Not super fruity which I actually prefer in a champagne. Would buy again for sure.

Had this at a friend's wedding and tracked it down afterwards. It's got a lovely citrusy freshness but also a deeper savoury side — almost like toasted almonds? Really elegant stuff. At £63 it's not an everyday buy but it's genuinely good.

I used to think all champagne was basically the same until someone opened a bottle of this at a dinner party. The brioche and almond notes are so distinctive, and there's a chalky mineral thing on the finish that just keeps going. Completely changed my perspective.

Saw this on a restaurant menu and figured why not. It's drier and more serious than I expected from a rosé — lots of citrus peel and a toasty bread character. Not really a crowd-pleaser if your mates want something sweet and easy, but I quite liked it.

Got given this as a Christmas present and it's leagues ahead of the usual prosecco we drink. Really fine bubbles, lovely fresh citrus blossom smell, and a finish that genuinely lingers for ages. I'm not usually a champagne person but this might have converted me.

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something special for our anniversary. It's good — crisp, lemony, with a long dry finish — but honestly at nearly £65 I expected to be more wowed. I've had cheaper fizz that made me happier.

Bought this for my wife's 40th and we were both blown away. The bubbles are so fine and delicate, and there's this amazing toasty, bready thing going on underneath the fruit. Finish goes on forever. Worth every penny for a special occasion.
