Thomas Weber VIPsAllowed - Solid champagne, very elegant
8/10

The wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted something special for Christmas. It's definitely a step up from what I usually drink — there's a hazelnut and honeycomb thing happening that I really liked, and it stays with you for ages after each sip. Took a point off because at this price I expected to be completely blown away, and I was only mostly blown away.

Got this as a gift and shared it with friends over a seafood spread. It's got this lovely brioche bread quality to it alongside really fresh lemon flavours. Everyone kept commenting on how good it was, even the people who normally just drink prosecco. The magnum size meant there was plenty to go round too.

Henrik Larsen VIPsAllowed - Lovely but hard to justify the price
8/10

Tried this at a wine bar and it's genuinely brilliant — crisp, nutty, with a long citrusy finish. But £288 for a magnum is a lot when there are great champagnes at half the price. If someone else is buying, absolutely. Out of my own pocket, probably a once-a-year treat.

Lena Petrova VIPsAllowed - This is what champagne should taste like
10/10

Saw this on a restaurant list and splurged. So glad I did. It's got real depth to it — not just fizzy and acidic like cheaper stuff. The almond and lemon curd flavours are gorgeous together and there's a salty mineral edge that keeps you reaching for the next glass. Billecart-Salmon clearly know what they're doing with this one.

Bought the magnum for our 10th anniversary dinner and wow. The bubbles are so fine and there's this amazing toasty almond thing going on that just keeps going. Honestly the finish lasted longer than dessert. At £288 it's not cheap but for a magnum of something this good I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Daniel Torres VIPsAllowed - The champagne that ruined all other champagne for me
9/10

My mate brought this to a dinner party and now I can't go back to my usual stuff. Really lemony and fresh but also has this honeycomb sweetness that somehow isn't too much. The chalky mineral thing people talk about with champagne — I finally get it now.
