Devon Marsh VIPsAllowed - Good but give it time to open up
7/10

Bought this for a dinner party and it was a bit tight when we first opened it. After about 30 mins it really came together though — lovely balanced fruit and a clean finish. At 14% it's got some heft to it but doesn't taste boozy. Worth the patience.

Jorge Castillo VIPsAllowed - Great find from Portugal
8/10

The guy at my local recommended this and I'm glad he did. Really well-structured with good acidity — went brilliantly with a lamb stew we had on Sunday. The fruit is expressive without being jammy which I appreciate. Will be keeping an eye out for more Beyra wines.

Benjamin Ross VIPsAllowed - Really solid Portuguese red
8/10

Picked this up from a local wine shop on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. There's a nice depth to it — not one of those simple fruity reds, it's got layers that keep you coming back for another sip. At £20 it's not cheap for a weeknight bottle but I'd definitely buy it again for a Saturday dinner.

Isabella Rossi VIPsAllowed - Decent, bit pricey for what it is
6/10

It's a perfectly nice red, well made and everything, but at nearly £20 I expected a bit more wow factor. The finish is pleasant enough but nothing that blew me away. I've had Portuguese reds at half the price that excited me more, to be honest.
