Williams & Humbert Canasta Cream Sherry
Fortified 20% ABV ABV Williams & HumbertChristmas cake in a glass
Bought a bottle for a dinner party and it was a massive hit. Poured it with some stilton and walnuts after the main course and everyone was asking where I got it. At 20% it packs a punch too — two glasses and you know about it. Will definitely buy again.
Good everyday sherry
I keep coming back to this one. The burnt caramel and toasted almond notes are really comforting on a cold evening. It's not going to blow your mind but it's reliable and the price is fair. Goes down dangerously easy for something this strong.
Solid for the price
My nan used to drink cream sherry at Christmas and I always thought it was horrible. This has changed my mind a bit — there's a nice nuttiness and some orange peel thing going on that keeps it interesting. Not something I'd drink every day but good to have in the cupboard.
A bit too sweet for me
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted to try sherry. It's decent but leans sweeter than I'd like. You can taste the caramel and raisins which is nice, but I think I prefer the drier styles. My wife loved it though so not a waste.
Fine but nothing special
Saw this recommended online and gave it a go. It's alright — tastes like raisins and toffee, finishes clean enough. But for £15.75 I feel like there are more interesting things to spend the money on. Maybe I'm just not a cream sherry person.
Way better than I expected
Picked this up on a whim because I wanted something different after dinner. The dried fig and toffee flavours are gorgeous, and it's not nearly as sweet as I thought cream sherry would be. Genuinely impressed for under £16.
