Ravi Krishnan VIPsAllowed - Decent, bit pricey though
6/10

I enjoyed drinking it, don't get me wrong. Nice fruit, good balance, clean finish. But £26 is a lot for a weeknight wine and I'm not sure it's special enough to save for occasions. Would maybe grab it on offer.

Emily Thomas VIPsAllowed - Really interesting bottle
8/10

Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop recommended it. Never had anything from Sopron before but wow, it's got this really expressive nose that kept changing as I let it sit. The acidity keeps everything lively and it went down way too easily for 14%.

Yuki Nakamura VIPsAllowed - Solid wine, fun label

Bought this for a dinner party because the name made me laugh — Franz Plays with what now? But it's genuinely good. Well balanced, decent complexity, and it held up nicely with a lamb stew. Would buy again at this price.

Saw this on a wine list at a restaurant and ordered it on a whim. Absolutely loved it. There's real depth and complexity here but it's not trying too hard. The finish lingers in a really pleasant way. Tracked down a bottle to have at home.

Kwame Mensah VIPsAllowed - Nice change from the usual
7/10

I'm trying to branch out from my usual Malbec and Shiraz comfort zone. This was a great pick — structured but not heavy, and the acidity gives it a real freshness. Had it with some charcuterie and hard cheese, worked perfectly.

Jackson Wu VIPsAllowed - Birthday treat that delivered
8/10

My partner got me this for my birthday and I'm so glad they did. The nose is gorgeous — really confident and aromatic. Sat with it all evening and it just kept getting better in the glass. At 14% it could've been heavy but it wasn't at all.

Elena Morozova VIPsAllowed - Good but not blown away
6/10

It's nice enough. Clean finish, decent fruit, but for £26 I expected a bit more punch. I've had Hungarian reds at half the price that excited me more. Not bad by any means, just didn't wow me.
