Warre's Bottle Aged Late Bottled Vintage 2011
Red 14% ABV ABV Warre'sBirthday present win
Got this as a birthday present and I'm so glad I saved it for a good steak night. Really layered and complex without being heavy — you don't feel the 14% at all which is dangerous! Lovely depth to it. The wine shop guy recommended it and he was spot on.
Really impressed with this
Bought this for a dinner party and it went down really well. Smooth, balanced, no harsh edges — everyone kept going back for more. At around £25 it's not an everyday buy but it's genuinely good stuff. Would definitely get it again for a special occasion.
Absolutely loved this
This is what port should taste like in my opinion. Everything is in the right place — fruit, acidity, structure — and the finish just lingers perfectly without overstaying its welcome. Warre's clearly know what they're doing. Already ordered another bottle.
Bit pricey for what it is
It's decent, don't get me wrong, but at nearly £25 I was expecting to be blown away and I wasn't quite. Clean finish and nicely balanced but I've had LBVs at half the price that were almost as enjoyable. One for a treat, not a regular buy.
Solid port-style wine
Nice and well put together. You can tell it's had some time in the bottle because everything just feels settled and smooth rather than fruity and in your face. Good with cheese after dinner. Fair price for the quality.
Does the job nicely
Picked this up after seeing it recommended somewhere online. It's well balanced with a clean acidity that keeps it from feeling too rich. Not the most exciting wine I've ever had but it's reliable and well made. Would pair it with a roast or some strong cheese.
