Vinvita Pinot Grigio 2024
White 12% ABV ABV VinvitaNice surprise for under £11
Picked this up from Majestic on a whim because I needed a white for a pasta night. Really pleasantly surprised — it's got proper fruit flavour and doesn't taste watery like a lot of cheap Pinot Grigios do. Light and easy drinking at 12%, polished off the bottle without even noticing.
Great dinner party white
Bought three bottles of this Vinvita for a dinner party and everyone commented on it. Really balanced, not too sweet not too dry, and the finish is lovely — just fades out nicely. Goes with pretty much anything too, we had it with fish and then with a cheese board and it worked for both.
Fine but nothing special
It's alright. Clean and drinkable but I've had better Pinot Grigios for less money honestly. At nearly £11 I was expecting a bit more going on. Would drink it again if someone else bought it but probably wouldn't seek it out myself.
Actually smells like something!
My main complaint with most Pinot Grigio is it smells and tastes of absolutely nothing, but this one genuinely has some character to it. The nose is really inviting and the palate has a bit of depth to it which I wasn't expecting at all. At 12% it's nice and light too — been buying this as my go-to fridge wine for the last month.
Decent everyday white
Solid midweek wine. Better aromatics than I expected for the price and it doesn't have that thin, acidic thing that a lot of Pinot Grigios do. Not going to blow your mind but it does the job well. Would pair nicely with a simple chicken salad or just on its own in the garden.
