Vincent Bliard Fondamentaux NV Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Vincent BliardNice but bit steep
Picked this up for a dinner party and it went down well enough. Good balance of fruit and acidity, clean finish. But at nearly £45 I think there are comparable options for less. Would probably buy again on offer though.
New favourite fizz
Absolutely loved this. You can really smell the difference compared to big brand Champagne — it's got its own personality. Light enough at 12.5% that we polished off the bottle over a long Sunday lunch without feeling rough. Already ordered another.
Proper grower Champagne
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something interesting but not crazy expensive. It's got real depth and complexity to it, layers of flavour that keep revealing themselves. Definitely a step up from the usual supermarket stuff.
Great for when you want something a bit special
Brought this round to my mate's for her engagement and everyone commented on it. It's properly interesting — not just bubbles for the sake of it. The more you pay attention the more you get out of it. Would definitely buy as a gift again.
Surprised how much I liked this
I'm not usually a Champagne person but this changed my mind a bit. It's got actual character to it rather than just being fizzy and dry. The finish lingers really nicely too. Had it with some takeaway sushi and it worked brilliantly.
Solid Champagne, nothing wrong with it
Saw this on a menu at a wine bar and ordered a glass. It's well made, good acidity, decent depth. The finish stuck around which was nice. Just not sure it blew me away enough to justify the price when buying a whole bottle at home.
Birthday treat that delivered
Got this for my 40th birthday and honestly it was the highlight of the night. Really expressive on the nose, you can tell it's not just another generic fizz. At £45 it's not cheap but for a special occasion it's worth every penny. Kept going back for another glass.
