- The wine shop guy was right
Bloke at my local recommended this when I said I wanted something special for a dinner party. It went down incredibly well — everyone kept going back to it. Really layered, kept unfolding through the evening. Clean finish too, no harshness at all. Will definitely buy again for the right occasion.

- Took a while to click but then I got it
First glass I wasn't totally sold, thought it was a bit much for what I normally drink. But I left it to breathe and came back to it and something just shifted. The acidity cuts through perfectly and there's this depth that I kept finding new things in. At 14% it's dangerously easy to drink for how intense it is.

- Really good but hard to justify the price
Tried this at a tasting event and it's genuinely lovely. Super expressive on the nose straight away and the balance is spot on — not too heavy at all for something this rich. But £130 is a lot and I'm not sure I'd buy a whole bottle when there are great options at half the price.

- Absolutely stunning birthday treat
My wife got me this for my 50th and wow. The complexity is unreal — every sip kept changing as it warmed up in the glass. At £130 it's not cheap but honestly felt worth every penny for a special occasion. The finish just goes on and on.
