Tio Pepe En Rama 2025 Edition
Red 14% ABV ABV Tio PepeBit pricey for what it is
It's fine. Like, it's a perfectly decent wine and it's well balanced, but for £18 I feel like I've had better. My mate raved about it so maybe my expectations were too high. Would probably grab it on offer but not at full whack again.
Birthday bottle that delivered
My wife got me this for my birthday and I'm a fan. Really expressive nose — you get loads of character just from the first sniff. Went brilliantly with the steak we had. Already looking at getting another bottle.
Solid all-rounder
Saw this on a restaurant menu and looked it up afterwards to buy at home. It's just well put together — nothing feels out of place and the finish is clean without disappearing on you. Good with food, good on its own. No complaints.
Good but not mindblowing
Bought a couple of bottles for a dinner party and it went down well. Nice depth to it and the aromas are genuinely interesting — kept noticing new things as I drank. Wouldn't say it's the best wine I've ever had at this price but it's reliably good.
Really impressed for under £20
Picked this up after the guy in my local wine shop wouldn't stop going on about it. He was right though — it's got this lovely clean finish that keeps you coming back for more. At £18 it's a solid weeknight treat. The 14% doesn't hit you over the head either, which I appreciate.
