James Okafor VIPsAllowed - Solid English Pinot
7/10

Tidebrook are doing good things. This has proper structure and the acidity keeps everything fresh. Warm but not boozy despite the 14%. Had it over two evenings and it actually opened up nicely on day two. Worth trying if you're into supporting homegrown producers.

Annika Svensson VIPsAllowed - Decent enough Pinot
6/10

Picked this up after seeing it on a list somewhere. It's fine, drinks well and has some interesting depth to it, but I've had Pinots at this price that blew me away more. The 14% alcohol is well hidden though, I'll give it that. Not bad, just not a repurchase for me.

Carlos Mendez VIPsAllowed - Nice but a bit steep
7/10

The wine shop guy recommended this and it's genuinely good — smooth, well balanced, and the finish just lingers nicely. My only gripe is £34.50 feels a touch pricey for a weeknight Pinot Noir. If it was closer to £25 I'd be buying it regularly.

8/10

Got this as a birthday present to myself and no regrets. Really expressive on the nose, you can tell it's been made with care. Had it with a slow-cooked lamb shoulder and it was absolutely perfect together. Clean finish that keeps you sipping.

8/10

Bought this for a dinner party and it was a proper hit. Lovely red fruit flavours, not too heavy but still has some weight to it. Everyone kept going back for more which is always a good sign. Would definitely buy again.
