Zara Al-Hassan VIPsAllowed - Absolutely loved this bottle
9/10

Got this as a birthday present and it might be my favourite wine discovery this year. So well balanced and the finish just lingers in a really pleasant way. Already ordered more. The Juice Asylum have nailed it with this one.

Thomas Weber VIPsAllowed - Good but not amazing
6/10

It's a perfectly nice red wine. Decent fruit, goes down easy enough. But at nearly £20 I've had bottles I enjoyed more for less money. Not bad by any means, just didn't blow me away.

Saw this on a restaurant menu and ordered a glass to try. Nice depth to it without being heavy, and it handled its alcohol well — didn't get that hot burn you sometimes get with 14% reds. Tracked down a bottle afterwards for home. Fair price at £20.

Picked this up from my local wine shop on a whim and glad I did. Proper fruit flavours but not one of those jammy headache wines — actually has some structure to it. At £20 it's not an everyday bottle but it's genuinely good for a Friday night steak.

Helena Kosta VIPsAllowed - Solid red, drinks well above its price
7/10

Bought a couple of these for a dinner party and everyone kept asking about it. Smooth tannins and a nice clean finish. 14% but doesn't taste boozy at all which is impressive. Would buy again.

Daniel Oyama VIPsAllowed - The nose on this is unreal
8/10

I'm not usually one to sit and sniff my wine but this one kept pulling me back in before I even took a sip. Really expressive and interesting. Had it with a slow-cooked ragu and it was a brilliant match.

Victor Osei VIPsAllowed - Nice Italian red

The guy at my wine shop recommended this and he wasn't wrong. It's got layers to it — starts fruity then sort of opens up into something deeper. My partner thought it was a bit much but I really liked it.
