Dinner party winner
Brought this to a dinner party and it went down a storm with the roast chicken. Everyone kept commenting on how smooth it was. That long finish is really something — no harsh edges at all. Host asked me where I got it so that says it all really.

Good but bit steep
The wine shop guy recommended this and it IS good — lovely aromatics and a clean finish that keeps you going back for more. But £55 for a Chardonnay is a lot. I've had bottles at £30 that got me nearly as excited. Solid 7.

Nice but not mind-blowing
Saw this on a restaurant menu and figured I'd try it. It's a well-made Chardonnay for sure — good acidity, decent complexity. But at this price point I expected to be a bit more wowed. Perfectly enjoyable, just didn't knock my socks off.

So smooth and easy to drink
Only 12% ABV which I liked because I could have a couple of glasses without feeling it too much. Really smooth finish and the fruit flavours are lovely without being over the top. Dangerous how easy this goes down for a £55 bottle.

Great with fish on a Friday
Picked this up for a Friday night fish supper and it was perfect. Confident and expressive right from pouring it — the aromatics are class. Taut acidity that cuts through anything rich. My wife nicked most of the bottle so I'll need to get another one.

Birthday treat that delivered
Got this as a birthday present to myself and wow, glad I did. Really layered and interesting — every sip I noticed something different going on. The acidity keeps it fresh and lively without being sharp. At £55 it's not an everyday bottle but for a special occasion it's spot on.

Proper grown-up Chardonnay
This is nothing like the cheap oaky Chardonnays that put me off white wine for years. Really precise and balanced, with genuine fruit depth but nothing sweet or cloying. The finish just lingers nicely. Would absolutely buy again.

Wow this is complex
I've been getting more into wine this year and this Hilt Estate Chardonnay kind of blew my mind. The way it unfolds in your mouth is amazing — not all at once, but gradually. The nose is gorgeous too, kept finding new things every time I swirled. Worth the splurge.
