Tanca Nica Soki Soki 2023
Red 14% ABV ABV Tanca NicaGood but give it time
Poured a glass straight away and thought it was a bit tight and closed off. Left it for a while and it got much better — proper dark berry flavours came through. Decent wine but at over fifty quid I'd probably look around a bit before rebuying.
Solid Italian red
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something interesting from Sicily. Took about 20 minutes to really open up but once it did, wow. Loads of dark fruit and a freshness that kept me sipping. Would buy again.
Really interesting wine
I'm still fairly new to exploring wine beyond supermarket stuff and this was a step up. You can taste the difference — there's so much going on compared to what I usually drink. Dark fruit, a bit of spice, and it just keeps going. Treating myself was worth it.
Saturday night sorted
Picked this up after reading about Tanca Nica online and I'm glad I did. Poured it with some pasta and it was brilliant. The finish just lingers in the best way and every sip revealed something new. Already ordered another bottle.
This one's a keeper
Bought this for my wife's birthday dinner and we both kept going back for more. Really deep dark fruit flavours but nothing over the top or jammy. At £51.50 it's not an everyday bottle but for a special occasion it absolutely delivers.
Impressed the in-laws
Brought this to a dinner party not knowing much about it and got loads of compliments. It's got real depth to it, dark fruit with something almost savoury underneath. Felt like a safe bet at 14% and it didn't disappoint.
Nice but bit pricey
Saw this on a list at a restaurant and ordered a bottle. It's good — well balanced, not too heavy, clean finish. But for £51.50 retail I think you can find similar quality for less. Would drink it again if someone else was buying though!
Absolute stunner with steak
Had this with a ribeye and it was perfect. The tannins are firm but smooth, and there's this lovely acidity that cuts through the fat. Layers and layers of flavour. One of the best reds I've had this year honestly.
