Tanca Nica Red Label 2022 / Single Vineyard
Red 14% ABV ABV Tanca NicaProper treat for a birthday dinner
Bought this for my wife's 40th and it was a hit with everyone at the table. Really aromatic when you pour it, you can smell it from across the room almost. Smooth and warming without being boozy even at 14%. Would definitely buy again for a special occasion.
Nice but steep for midweek
Got recommended this by the guy at my local wine shop. It's good, genuinely layered and interesting, and the finish hangs around in a pleasant way. But at £65 I can't justify it regularly — I'd want to save it for something worth celebrating.
Really impressed with this one
Tried this at a friend's house and immediately asked where they got it. Loads of fruit and depth but nothing feels out of place, it's all just balanced really well. Went back and ordered a couple of bottles for myself. Goes brilliantly with a slow-cooked lamb shoulder.
Confident wine, does what it says
I'm still learning about wine but even I could tell this was a cut above what I usually drink. Big and warm but not heavy if that makes sense. The smell alone is worth it — really expressive straight out of the bottle. Shared it with my dad and he was well impressed.
Bit pricey but solid
Had this at a restaurant and liked it enough to track down a bottle. Clean finish, good structure, nothing harsh about it even though it's 14%. My only gripe is the price — at £65 you start comparing it to some serious competition and it doesn't quite blow you away. Still very enjoyable though.
