Marianne Blom VIPsAllowed - Solid vintage Champagne
8/10

Had this at a friend's dinner party and liked it enough to track down a bottle myself. It's confident stuff — you can tell it's a step up from non-vintage. Really clean finish that doesn't outstay its welcome. The gift box is a nice touch if you're giving it to someone.

9/10

Bought this for my wife's 40th and we were both really impressed. The bubbles are fine and persistent, and there's a lovely balance between the fruit and a crisp acidity that keeps you going back for more. At £63.75 it's not cheap but for a vintage champagne from Taittinger it felt fair. Would definitely buy again for a special occasion.

Amira Benali VIPsAllowed - Perfect for Christmas dinner
8/10

Picked this up for Christmas Day and it went down a storm. Really expressive on the nose, even my dad who usually just drinks beer commented on how good it smelled. Lovely balance and not too heavy at 12.5% which meant we could happily have a couple of glasses before switching to red. The gift box made it look proper fancy under the tree too.

The wine shop guy recommended this over the Brut Réserve and honestly I'm not sure the upgrade was worth it for me. It's definitely more complex and has lovely depth to it, but at nearly £64 I expected to be wowed. Nice enough for what it is, just maybe not my thing.
