Sadi Malot Les 2 Cepages Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Sadi MalotNice but maybe not £49 nice
It's a good Champagne, don't get me wrong. Crisp acidity, decent complexity, and the finish hangs around nicely. But for almost fifty quid I was expecting something that really blew me away and it didn't quite get there. I've had comparable bottles for £35-40.
This stuff is GOOD
Ok so I'm not a huge Champagne person usually, I find a lot of it kind of samey and overpriced. But this genuinely surprised me. There's real flavour here, like actual fruit and freshness, not just bubbles. Polished off the bottle way too quickly at our Friday night dinner.
Solid Champagne, fair price
Had this at a friend's dinner party and liked it enough to track down a bottle myself. Clean and bright with good fruit — not too sweet, not too dry. At just under £50 it's not cheap but it's genuinely better than a lot of the big-name stuff at the same price.
Birthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my wife's birthday after the guy at our local wine shop recommended it. Really impressed — it's got proper depth to it, not just fizz and sugar like a lot of Champagne at this price. The bubbles are fine and it stays interesting right to the bottom of the glass. Would definitely buy again for special occasions.
Great find from a small producer
I'm trying to explore more grower Champagnes instead of the big houses and Sadi Malot is a really nice discovery. This one has layers to it — you keep noticing new things as you drink it. Served it with some smoked salmon starters and it was perfect.
Decent, a bit understated for me
Picked this up after seeing it recommended online. It's well made for sure — clean finish, balanced, nothing out of place. I just personally prefer something with a bit more punch at this price point. My partner loved it though so maybe it's a style thing.
