Amira Benali VIPsAllowed - Half bottle, full impression
8/10

Picked this up on a whim because I wanted something nice for a Tuesday night but didn't want to commit to a full bottle. Really glad I did — it's got this lovely crisp, almost chalky thing going on with some apple-ish fruit that keeps it from being too austere. At £25 for a half bottle it's not exactly cheap, but honestly it felt like a treat and I'd buy it again.

Bought two of these for a dinner party starter and they disappeared before we even sat down properly. The wine itself is good — fresh and appley with a dry mineral edge — but £25 for a half bottle stings a bit. You're basically paying £50-a-bottle champagne prices. Tasty though, I'll give it that.

I love that this comes in a half bottle because sometimes you just want a glass or two of something proper without opening a whole bottle that goes flat by Thursday. Really well made — there's a sort of orchard fruit sweetness balanced by this bone-dry acidity that keeps you sipping. The finish goes on forever too. Great for when you want champagne but you're drinking solo, no shame in it.

My mate who's into wine recommended this as a good Blanc de Blancs that won't break the bank. He was right — it's clean, well-balanced, and has a nice long finish that surprised me for the price. Not the most exciting champagne I've ever had but it does the job really well. Would happily order it again at a restaurant.
