- Really impressed with this
Bought this for a dinner party and it went down a treat. Loads of dark berry flavour and something almost herby that I really liked. Felt like a proper grown-up wine without being stuffy. Would definitely buy again.

- Solid Portuguese red
The wine shop guy pointed me towards this when I said I wanted something from the Douro. It's nicely balanced — fruity but not sweet, if that makes sense. At nearly £29 it's not an everyday bottle but it's good for a weekend treat with a steak.

- Nice but a bit pricey
Got this as a birthday present and it was pleasant enough. Dark fruit, smooth finish, no complaints on the taste. But I've had Portuguese reds at half the price that I've enjoyed just as much. Wouldn't rush to buy it myself at £28.75.

- One of my fave Douro finds
Saw this on a restaurant menu and liked it so much I tracked down a bottle to have at home. There's a lovely savoury thing going on underneath all the fruit, and it doesn't taste too heavy even at 14%. Opened it with lamb chops and it was spot on.
