Really nice but ouch the price

My mate brought this round for a dinner party and we all loved it. Loads of fruit but not heavy or jammy like some pinots can be. That said, at nearly £100 a bottle I'm not sure I'd buy it myself — there are solid pinot noirs for half the price. But if someone else is pouring, I'm not saying no.

Good but not £100 good

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and thought I'd treat myself. It's a nice wine, no question — smooth, interesting, decent length on the finish. But I've had pinot noirs at £40-50 that I've enjoyed just as much. Maybe I'm missing something but I expected more wow factor at this price point.

Worth every penny for a special night

Bought this for our anniversary dinner and it was genuinely one of the best pinot noirs I've had. Really clean and expressive on the nose — you can smell it as soon as you pour. The acidity keeps everything in check even though it's 14%, which I was a bit worried about. Would absolutely buy again for a special occasion.

Classy without being stuffy

Had this at a tasting event and immediately tracked down a bottle. What I liked most is it doesn't try too hard — no big oaky flavours getting in the way, just really clear and well-made pinot noir. Goes down dangerously easy for 14% ABV. Had it with lamb and it was perfect.

New Zealand pinot at its finest

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something special for my birthday. Honestly blown away. The finish just goes on and on, and the whole thing feels really balanced and put together. I don't usually spend this much on wine but I get why it costs what it does.
