Andre Dubois VIPsAllowed - Bit too dry for me but I get the appeal
7/10

My partner loves really dry fizz so I grabbed this for our New Year's Eve. It's clearly quality — you can taste that there's nothing hiding behind sweetness — but honestly I prefer a bit more richness in my champagne. The finish is lovely though, very clean and lingering. At 12.5% it went down dangerously easy too.

Lena Petrova VIPsAllowed - This is what dry champagne should taste like
9/10

Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop recommended it as a proper zero-dosage champagne. He wasn't wrong — it's bone dry but somehow still really fruity and fresh, not harsh at all. Had it with oysters on our anniversary and it was absolutely perfect. Not cheap at £62 but honestly felt worth it for a special night.

Natasha Volkov VIPsAllowed - Good but maybe not £62 good?
7/10

Got this as a birthday present and it's definitely nice — very crisp and clean with a long finish. But I'm not sure I'd buy it myself at that price when you can get a perfectly decent champagne for £35-40. If you're really into the super dry style though, it's well made.

Mei-Lin Wu VIPsAllowed - Finally a champagne that isn't sweet
8/10

I've been on a mission to find champagnes that aren't sugary and this Pol Roger Pure is exactly what I wanted. Really bright acidity, proper dry, and it just keeps going on the finish. Served it at a dinner party and even my friends who usually drink prosecco were impressed.

Rafael Santos VIPsAllowed - Stunning stuff from Pol Roger

Saw this on a restaurant menu and decided to try a glass before buying a bottle. So glad I did because I immediately ordered one to take home. There's real depth here — it starts quite subtle but then all these layers open up as you drink it. The clarity of the flavours is just class. One of the best extra bruts I've had.
