Elena Morozova VIPsAllowed - The toasty finish is gorgeous

The wine shop guy recommended this and I'm glad he did. Really liked the brioche thing going on and it stayed interesting right to the end. Had it with a roast chicken and it was perfect. Would buy again if it goes on sale.

Gianluca Ferro VIPsAllowed - Good but not £92 good
5/10

Had this at a friend's dinner party and it was nice enough — creamy, toasty, decent bubbles. But honestly for that price I expected to be blown away and I wasn't. I've had £40 champagnes that impressed me more.

Jackson Wu VIPsAllowed - Solid champagne, does the job

Picked this up from Majestic when they had it on offer. It's well made — you can taste the quality with the lemon curd and bready notes. Not the most exciting champagne I've ever had but perfectly reliable for a nice meal.

Tariq Hassan VIPsAllowed - Nice but I prefer fizz with more punch

This is a well-balanced champagne, no doubt. The acidity keeps everything fresh and you get nice peachy flavours. Personally I like my champagne a bit more zingy though — this felt a touch too mellow for me. Good quality just not quite my style.

My partner got me this for my birthday and it was really special. You get that gorgeous fresh bread smell when you pour it, and the taste is all peach and pastry — proper luxurious. Pricey at £92 but for a special occasion it's worth it.

Noah Williams VIPsAllowed - Decent enough for Pinot Noir champagne
5/10

Saw this on a restaurant menu and thought I'd try it. It's fine — pleasant toasty smell, creamy texture, lemon curd on the finish. But at this price point there are better options out there. I'd rather spend the money on a couple of bottles of something else honestly.

Opened this for our anniversary and wow. So smooth and creamy with loads of stone fruit flavour, and that chalky dry finish just makes you want another glass. Pol Roger always delivers and this vintage is no exception. Yes it's expensive but you get what you pay for.
