Luna Chavez VIPsAllowed - Really good but I'm not sure I get it
8/10

My partner is the wine nerd, not me, and they were raving about this. I can tell it's high quality and the flavours are really interesting and layered, but I'm honestly not sure I can appreciate it enough to justify £499. It does taste different from any other Champagne I've had though. The finish is crazy long.

Noah Williams VIPsAllowed - Stunning old Champagne
9/10

Had this at a wine dinner hosted by a friend who collects older bottles. I've had a lot of Champagne but nothing quite like this — it's so expressive on the nose, really hits you straight away. Still has great acidity after 40+ years which blew my mind. Not something I could afford regularly but glad I got to try it.

Idris Ibrahim VIPsAllowed - Exceptional wine, brutal price tag
7/10

Tried a glass at a tasting event. It's undeniably well-made — great structure, lovely evolved fruit character, and a finish that doesn't quit. But at this price point I expected to be completely floored and I wasn't quite there. I've had younger vintage Champagnes at a third of the price that excited me more. Still a solid experience though.

Annika Svensson VIPsAllowed - Impressive but hard to justify the price
8/10

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and curiosity got the better of me. It's genuinely excellent — clean, layered, and the finish just goes on and on. But at £499 a bottle I kept thinking about how many great wines I could buy for that money. Beautiful experience though, no regrets.

Sophia Laurent VIPsAllowed - Absolutely phenomenal
10/10

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something truly special for a retirement dinner. From the first sniff you know this is something else — so expressive and confident. Each sip just keeps revealing more. Probably the best Champagne I've ever had and I've been collecting for about fifteen years now.

Rosa Paredes VIPsAllowed - Birthday treat that delivered
9/10

Bought this as a 40th birthday present for myself because 1982 is my birth year. It's incredible how fresh it still is — proper acidity, nothing tired or flat about it. The nose is amazing, so clear and defined. Felt very special opening a bottle that's been aging longer than I've been alive.

Samir Patel VIPsAllowed - Once in a lifetime bottle
10/10

My wife bought this for our 40th wedding anniversary and wow. The complexity is unreal — every sip reveals something different, layers of flavour that just keep going. At £499 it's not cheap but honestly for a 1982 Champagne that tastes this good, I'd say it's worth every penny. The finish lingers for ages.
