Piper Heidsieck Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Piper HeidsieckSolid champagne for the price
Had this at a friend's wedding and tracked it down afterwards. Nice crisp acidity with some real fruit character going on. It's well made and you can tell it's a step up from supermarket fizz. Would happily buy again.
Genuinely impressive stuff
I've been slowly trying different champagnes in the £30-50 range and this is one of the best I've found. There's a real structure to it — proper acidity holding everything together, and a lovely clean finish that keeps you going back for another sip. Not just fizzy wine, actual champagne.
Perfect for a dinner party
Served this at a dinner party last weekend and got loads of compliments. Really aromatic when you pour it and the bubbles last ages in the glass. Goes well with pretty much any starter. Will definitely be buying more for Christmas.
Bit pricey for what it is
Got this as a gift and it was nice enough. Pleasant and easy to drink with fine bubbles and no harshness. But I wouldn't pay £40 for it myself when you can get something like Lidl's Crémant for a tenner. Sorry, I know that's sacrilege.
Good but not blown away
Picked this up from Majestic on recommendation. It's decent champagne — clean finish, nice bubbles, does what it should. But at nearly £40 I was expecting a bit more wow factor honestly. I've had champagnes at this price that excited me more.
Reliable and classy
Keep coming back to Piper Heidsieck because it never disappoints. The balance is spot on and there's genuine complexity if you actually pay attention to what you're drinking. Not the cheapest option out there but you're getting proper quality for your money.
My go-to celebration champagne
Bought this for my wife's birthday and we both loved it. Really fine bubbles and proper depth of flavour — not like the cheap prosecco we usually grab. At £40 it's not an everyday thing but for special occasions it's absolutely worth it.
Saw it on a restaurant menu
Tried this at a restaurant first and liked it enough to buy a bottle from the shop. Really clean and crisp with ripe fruit coming through. The nose is lovely too — you get a proper hit of aroma before you even taste it. Great with fish and chips weirdly enough.
