Pierre Legras Coste Beert Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Pierre LegrasDecent champagne, nothing mind-blowing
It's a perfectly nice champagne. Clean finish, good bubbles, does what it says on the tin. Grand Cru and all that. I just expected a bit more complexity for the price honestly. Would happily drink it again but wouldn't specifically seek it out.
Reliable go-to champagne
Third time buying this now. It's just consistently good — clean, balanced, and the finish lingers nicely without being over the top. At around £45 it sits in that sweet spot where it feels special but you're not wincing at the price. Goes great with a cheese board.
Birthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my wife's 40th and we were both really impressed. Lovely bubbles, crisp and fresh but with some real depth to it. At £45 it felt like a proper treat without being ridiculous money. Would definitely buy again for a special occasion.
Great with seafood
Opened this with a big plate of oysters and it was an unreal pairing. The acidity is bright and zingy without being harsh, and there's a lovely depth that builds as it warms up a bit in the glass. Blanc de Blancs at its best really.
Wow this is classy
I don't know loads about champagne but I know what I like and this is properly good. It's got layers — like you keep tasting new things as you drink it. Brought it to a dinner party and the host asked me where I got it. Felt very smug.
Perfect for NYE
Picked this up for New Year's Eve after the guy at my local wine shop recommended it. Really elegant, not too heavy at 12.5%, and everyone commented on how good it was. The acidity cuts through canapés perfectly. Will stock up next December.
Solid grower champagne
Been getting into grower champagnes lately and this Pierre Legras is a great example of why. Pure Blanc de Blancs character — all that bright acidity and focus you want. The finish just keeps going. Really well made stuff.
Nice but maybe a touch pricey
Had this at a friend's dinner party and it was good, don't get me wrong. Clean, crisp, proper champagne taste. But at nearly £46 a bottle I think there's better value out there. I'd probably reach for a good cremant at half the price most nights.
