Piedra Fluida Tinto 2020
Red 14% ABV ABV Piedra FluidaOne of my favourites this year
I'm not usually one to rave about wine but this is genuinely lovely. The acidity keeps it really fresh even though it's quite a full-bodied red, and the finish just lingers in a really pleasant way. Already ordered another couple of bottles. Absolutely worth the £23.
Really impressed with this one
Picked this up from my local wine shop on a whim and I'm so glad I did. It's got this lovely warmth to it without being too heavy, and the fruit flavours really come through. At £23 it's not an everyday bottle but it's genuinely good enough to justify the price for a Friday night treat.
Birthday bottle that didn't disappoint
My wife got me this for my birthday after the guy at the wine shop recommended it. Really aromatic — you can smell it properly before you even take a sip, which I always like. The 14% gives it a nice warming quality without it feeling boozy. We polished off the bottle with some cheese and it was perfect.
Went great with a roast
Bought this for Sunday lunch and it paired really well with beef. It's got layers to it — starts off fruity then sort of opens up into something more interesting as you drink. Not bad at all for the price.
Good but a bit pricey for what it is
It's a nice enough red and I liked the depth of flavour, but at nearly £23 I expected to be a bit more wowed. There are Spanish reds at £15 that get you most of the way there. That said, the finish is really clean and it went down easy with a lamb stew.
Solid red, nothing to complain about
Had this at a friend's dinner party and thought it was decent. Nice balance to it, not too fruity, not too dry. Would probably grab a bottle if I saw it in a shop but wouldn't go out of my way to track it down.
