Carlos Mendez VIPsAllowed - This changed my mind about non dosé
9/10

I'd tried a couple of non dosé champagnes before and found them too lean and acidic. This one is completely different — generous fruit, layers of flavour, and a finish that just keeps going. Philipponnat clearly know what they're doing with their reserve wines. Already ordered another bottle.

Henrik Larsen VIPsAllowed - Great for food
8/10

Bought this for a seafood dinner we were hosting and it was perfect. The bright acidity cuts right through richer dishes and it's got enough body to stand up to proper food, not just canapés. Everyone commented on it. At 12.5% it's not going to knock you sideways either which is a bonus when you're topping up glasses all evening.

Tomas Rivera VIPsAllowed - Good but not sure it's worth £50
7/10

Had this at a friend's dinner party and thought it was really nice — clean, crisp, with more going on than your average fizz. But when I looked up the price afterwards I was a bit taken aback. For £49 I'd probably just grab a couple bottles of something else. That said, if someone else is buying, I wouldn't say no.

Daniel Oyama VIPsAllowed - Decent champagne, bit serious though
7/10

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and figured I'd try something different. It's well made for sure and the finish is really clean and satisfying. But I think I prefer a tiny bit of sweetness in my champagne — this was almost too dry for me personally. My partner loved it though so maybe it's just a taste thing.

Lena Petrova VIPsAllowed - Birthday treat that delivered
8/10

My wife got me this for my birthday because I'd been going on about wanting to try a proper zero dosage champagne. Really impressed — it's bone dry but doesn't feel harsh or stripped back at all. There's a lovely richness in the middle that keeps it interesting. Would definitely buy again for a special occasion.

Priya Sharma VIPsAllowed - Wow, zero dosage done right
9/10

Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop recommended it as a 'proper' non dosé that doesn't strip your teeth. He was right — it's got real depth and richness to it despite having no added sugar. The acidity is bright but not aggressive, and it actually feels like a complete wine rather than something austere. At just under fifty quid it's not cheap but honestly it drinks like something more expensive.
