Henrik Larsen VIPsAllowed - Absolutely loved this
9/10

Picked this up after seeing it on a restaurant menu and tracking it down online. The bubbles are delicate, there's candied citrus and brioche going on, and it just feels elegant without being stuffy. Best champagne I've had under fifty quid, no question.

I don't know loads about champagne but I'm trying to branch out from prosecco. This was really dry compared to what I'm used to but in a good way — kind of crisp and appley. The mineral-y finish took me a couple of sips to get into but by the end of the glass I was sold.

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something a bit different from Moët. It's nice — quite dry and lemony with a chalky sort of dryness that I liked. Good but I'm not sure I'd pick it over some £30 options for everyday drinking.

Opened this with the starters and everyone kept asking what it was. There's a gorgeous baked apple and biscuit thing on the nose and the finish just goes on and on. Proper champagne that actually tastes like champagne, if that makes sense.

Simon Hughes VIPsAllowed - Nice find for Chardonnay lovers

I'm a big Chardonnay fan so a Champagne with Chardonnay in the blend was always going to appeal. It's got that lemon curd flavour I love and a really clean, almost chalky finish. Would happily buy again.

Hannah Brooks VIPsAllowed - Bit pricey for what it is
6/10

Had this at a friend's house and it was fine, pleasant enough with a green apple thing going on. But for forty-five quid I expected to be more blown away? I've had crémants at half the price that I enjoyed just as much.

Bought this for my wife's birthday dinner and it went down a treat. Lovely biscuity smell when you pour it and the bubbles are super fine. At £44.50 it's not cheap but honestly felt worth it for a special occasion.
