Dmitri Volkov VIPsAllowed - Nice but a bit pricey for what it is
7/10

Had this at a friend's dinner party and thought it was pleasant enough. Floral nose, decent bubbles, goes down easy. But at nearly £49 for a 70cl I'd probably just grab a good Crémant for half the price unless I was trying to impress someone.

Saw Perrier-Jouët on a restaurant menu ages ago and finally grabbed a bottle to try at home with some prawns. The bright acidity cuts through richer food really well. It's got more depth than I expected from a non-vintage — layers of flavour that kept revealing themselves as it warmed up a bit.

Erik Strom VIPsAllowed - Solid Champagne, no complaints

The guy at Majestic recommended this when I said I wanted something a step up from Moët. He was right — it's more interesting and complex without being showy. Good acidity, clean finish. Would buy again.

Picked this up at the airport duty free on a whim and absolutely loved it. Really well balanced — not too sweet, not too dry, just proper Champagne. We finished the bottle before the starter was even cleared. The finish lingers in a really nice way that makes you want another glass immediately.

Bought this for my wife's birthday and we were both really impressed. Lovely floral smell when you pour it, and it's got this crisp freshness that keeps you coming back for more. At just under fifty quid it's not cheap but honestly felt worth it for a special occasion.

Connor McBride VIPsAllowed - Pretty good, not mind-blowing

I'm still learning about Champagne so take this with a pinch of salt. It's definitely nice — smells floral and fresh, tastes clean and balanced. But I'm not sure I can tell the difference between this and something £15 cheaper. Maybe my palate needs more training ha.
