Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rose 2012 Champagne / Magnum
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Perrier-JouëtThe art nouveau bottle alone is worth it
The wine shop guy recommended this for our engagement party and it was a huge hit. Light and elegant at 12.5% so nobody got messy too quick haha. Really complex flavours that kept unfolding the more you drank. The magnum size was perfect for sharing around and that painted bottle is going on our shelf forever.
Anniversary splurge and worth every penny
Bought the magnum for our 10th anniversary and wow. The colour alone is stunning — this gorgeous pale pink that just looks special. So elegant and layered, every sip kept revealing something new. At £605 it's obviously not an everyday thing but for a once-in-a-lifetime moment it delivered.
Lovely but I expected more at this price
Had this at a tasting event and it's definitely a quality champagne. Clean finish, nice fruit, properly balanced acidity. I enjoyed it a lot but I kept waiting for that jaw-dropping moment that never quite came. Maybe my expectations were too high given the price tag. Still a solid 8 though.
Really nice but not quite my style
I tend to prefer bigger, fruitier champagnes and this is more on the refined and subtle side. It's clearly well made — lovely acidity, great depth, clean finish. Just personally I wanted a bit more punch for something at this price point. My wife absolutely loved it though so maybe it's a me problem.
Gorgeous but the price is hard to justify
Got this as a birthday present and I'm glad someone else paid for it honestly. It's genuinely lovely — really expressive on the nose and the balance is incredible. But £605 for a bottle of fizz? Even a magnum? I've had champagnes at half the price that came close. Beautiful wine though, no question.
Absolute showstopper
Opened this for New Year's with close friends and it was the highlight of the night. So confident and assured — nothing flashy, just pure quality. The way the flavours build and linger is something else. If you can afford it, do it once in your life.
Best rosé champagne I've ever had
Saw this on the list at a restaurant and decided to treat myself. Beautifully balanced — the acidity is spot on and keeps everything fresh without being sharp. There's real depth here, not just pretty bubbles. The finish just goes on and on in the best way.
