Noah Williams - Stunning but hard to justify the price

Tried this at a friend's New Year's party and it's genuinely lovely — really crisp acidity with that redcurrant and strawberry thing going on. But £256 is a LOT for a bottle of fizz, even a rosé champagne. I'd have it again if someone else was buying, but I think you can get 80% of the experience for half the price.

My wife got this for my 50th birthday and I'm still thinking about it weeks later. The colour is this beautiful pale pink and the taste just keeps changing — first it's all red berries, then something almost mineral comes through at the end. I don't know much about champagne beyond knowing what I like, but this is on another level.

Picked this up from a wine shop in Mayfair who recommended it for a dinner party I was hosting. Everyone commented on the Formafantasma box before we even opened it. The champagne itself is brilliant — there's a dried rose petal note on the nose that's really pretty, and it stayed interesting right to the bottom of the glass. At 12.5% it's dangerously easy to drink for something this good.

Bought this for our 10th anniversary and wow, it really delivered. The strawberry flavours are so clear and fresh, and there's this lovely bready thing going on underneath that I wasn't expecting. The gift box is gorgeous too — felt properly luxurious unwrapping it. At £256 it's not an everyday buy obviously, but for a big occasion? Absolutely worth it.
