Henrik Larsen - Solid champagne, bit steep though

Got this as a birthday present and it's really nice — proper floral and fruity with good fizz. Honestly though, for £112 I'd probably pick up two bottles of something else for everyday drinking. That said, it does feel like a special occasion wine and the big bottle is a great centrepiece.

Maxwell Green - The best champagne I've had

The guy at our local wine shop recommended this and wow. It's got this amazing balance where the fruit and the toasty bread-y flavour just work perfectly together. Poured it for our dinner party and everyone was asking what it was. Already planning to buy another one for Christmas.

Mei-Lin Wu - Really impressed

I'm not usually a champagne person but a friend brought this round and I get it now. There's a freshness to it but also a richness — like flowers and apple and something baked? Hard to describe but it's properly delicious. The finish just keeps going too.

Picked up the magnum for New Year's and it went down a treat with about six of us. Nice and crisp with some depth to it, not just bland fizz like some cheaper stuff. Would have been nice if it was a bit less than £112 but the big bottle format does make it feel like an event.

Bought this for our anniversary dinner and it was absolutely stunning. The bubbles are so fine and there's this lovely brioche thing going on that makes it feel really luxurious. At £112 for a magnum it's actually not bad value per glass. We finished the whole thing and I regret nothing.

Saw this on a restaurant menu and decided to try the retail version at home. It's good — clean, floral, decent acidity — but at this price point I was hoping to be blown away and I wasn't quite. Perfectly enjoyable champagne, just maybe not £112 enjoyable for my budget.
