Palmer & Co La Réserve Nature Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Palmer & CoProperly good zero dosage
I've been getting into brut nature champagnes lately and this is one of the better ones I've tried. Some no-dosage bottles can be a bit harsh but this has enough fruit to keep it balanced. Clean finish that doesn't outstay its welcome. Would happily buy again.
Nice but maybe not £57 nice
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something bone dry for a dinner party. It's good — really precise and mineral-driven with decent acidity. But at nearly sixty quid I've had comparable champagnes for less. Guests enjoyed it though so can't complain too much.
Birthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my 40th and honestly so glad I did. Really dry and crisp — none of that sweetness you get with cheaper champagnes. There's this lovely mineral quality that keeps you going back for another sip. At £57 it's not cheap but for a special occasion it's worth every penny.
Wow this is dry
Fair warning if you're used to regular champagne, this is VERY dry. Zero sugar added apparently. Once I got used to that I really enjoyed it — super clean and refreshing with a sort of chalky mineral thing going on. Had it with some fish and chips on a Friday night and it was brilliant.
Converted me to brut nature
Saw this on a restaurant menu and the waiter talked me into trying it. I normally go for regular brut but this was something else — really layered and complex without being heavy. The finish just keeps going in a subtle way. Tracked down a bottle to buy for home the next week. Proper champagne this.
