Herbert Muller VIPsAllowed - Fine but nothing special
5/10

Had this at a friend's house and it was alright. Bit fruity, bit oaky, does the job. I think you can get more interesting wines for under twelve quid though. Wouldn't turn it down but wouldn't seek it out either.

7/10

Bought three bottles of this for a birthday dinner and everyone enjoyed it. It's got that lovely vanilla and spice thing going on without being too heavy — only 12.5% so nobody was falling asleep by dessert. The finish is really clean and fresh which I liked. Would buy again for a gathering.

Grabbed this from the shelf because the price was right and I fancied something Italian-ish. Really nice cherry and plum flavours, smooth and easy to drink. Went perfectly with a big bowl of spag bol. At £11.50 I'd happily buy it again.

Tariq Hassan VIPsAllowed - Nice surprise for a blend
6/10

The guy at my local wine shop recommended this when I said I liked Merlot but wanted to try something a bit different. The Sangiovese gives it a lighter, strawberry-ish thing on the nose which I wasn't expecting. Quite full in the mouth though, almost velvety. Decent for the money.
