Birthday treat that delivered
Got this as a 30th birthday present to myself because, well, 30 year old port for a 30 year old felt right. The dark chocolate and toffee on the finish is incredible — I kept going back for tiny sips all evening. Pricey at £180 but honestly felt worth it for the occasion.

Good but not £180 good
Tried this at a tasting event and it's nice, don't get me wrong. Really smooth with figs and raisins and a coffee thing going on. But for nearly two hundred quid I expected to have my mind blown, and there are ports at half the price that get you most of the way there.

Smooth operator
Had a glass of this at a restaurant and liked it enough to track down a bottle. It's silky and rich without being too heavy, and I love that dry finish at the end — stops it feeling like dessert in a glass. Would I buy it again at this price? Probably not regularly, but it's a proper treat bottle.

Lovely after dinner pour
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something special for a dinner party. Went down really well with the cheese board at the end. There's a sort of salty edge to the nose that I wasn't expecting from port — quite unusual. Everyone wanted to know what it was.

Seriously impressive stuff
I'm not usually a port drinker but my partner is, so I picked this up for our anniversary. Even I could tell this was a cut above. It's sweet but not in a cloying way, and the finish just goes on and on. The almond and prune notes on the nose are gorgeous. 20.5% and you genuinely can't tell.
