Solid pick for the price
Grabbed this on a whim from the wine shop and was pleasantly surprised. Really fruity upfront but not in a jammy way — more like actual fruit if that makes sense. The acidity keeps it fresh and easy to drink even though it's 14%. Would buy again for a weeknight dinner.

Not what I expected from a Vinho Verde
So I always thought Vinho Verde was light and fizzy? This is a red and it's quite full-on at 14% ABV. It's not bad by any means, decent fruit and a clean finish, but at nearly £15 I think there are better options. Might just be that I was expecting something different.

Good with food, less so on its own
My partner bought this for a dinner party and it went down well with the lamb. Nice depth to it and the finish keeps you coming back for more. On its own I found it a bit much though — the alcohol hit me more without food to balance it out.

Honest wine, no nonsense
The guy at our local wine shop recommended this and I'm glad he did. What I liked is it just tastes like proper wine — real fruit character, not trying to be something it's not. Good structure and complexity for the price. Already picked up another bottle.
