Nathan Kendall Pinot Noir 2023
Red 14% ABV ABV Nathan KendallConfident and direct
Saw this on a restaurant menu and ordered a glass first to test. Really liked how upfront and clear the aromas were — no guessing what you're drinking. Ended up ordering a second glass. The finish is clean and keeps you wanting more.
Really impressed with this one
Bought this for my wife's birthday dinner and we both loved it. Super expressive on the nose — you can smell it as soon as you pour. The acidity keeps it fresh and interesting, not heavy at all for a 14% wine. Would definitely buy again.
Nice but pricey
Look, it's a good Pinot Noir — clean finish, balanced fruit, genuinely enjoyable to drink. But at nearly fifty quid I expected to be slightly more blown away. I've had comparable wines for £30-35.
This kept getting better
Opened this with friends on a Friday night and honestly it was better an hour in than when we first poured it. The complexity just builds and builds. One of those wines where you keep going back for another sip without thinking about it.
Solid Pinot Noir
Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop recommended it. It's got real depth to it, layers that kind of unfold as you drink. Not a flashy wine but a really well-made one. Good with a roast chicken.
Decent but not mind-blowing
I'm fairly new to spending this much on wine so maybe my palate isn't there yet. It's clearly well made — clean, balanced, pleasant finish. Just not sure I can tell the difference between this and something half the price. Might need to try it again.
Great dinner party wine
Brought this to a dinner party and it went down really well with the lamb. Nice structure to it and the acidity cuts through richer food perfectly. Got a few compliments which is always a win.
