Mumm RSRV Cuvee 4.5 Champagne: Bubbles of Distinction
Champagne 12% ABV ABV MummMumm have nailed this one
Saw this on a restaurant menu and took a chance on it. So glad I did. It's 100% Pinot Noir which gives it a bit more body than your average champagne but it still feels light and fresh. That salty mineral finish kept me going back for more. Ended up ordering a second glass.
Solid champagne, bit steep though
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something a step up from Moët. It's nice — really crisp with a nutty finish that I wasn't expecting. Good but I'm not sure it's £45 good when there are decent options for less.
Birthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my 40th and wow, it was the star of the night. The bubbles are so fine and delicate, and there's this lovely bready, toasty thing going on that makes it feel really special. At £45 it's not cheap but honestly for a celebration it's worth every penny.
Impressed but not blown away
Decent Champagne for sure. You can taste the quality — there's a toasted hazelnut thing on the finish that's really interesting, and the brioche flavour is proper. I just feel like for the price I was expecting to be more wowed. Would still buy again for a special occasion though.
Best champagne I've had in ages
Had this at a friend's dinner party and immediately went and ordered a bottle for myself. The peach and citrus flavours are gorgeous and it's got this creamy almond thing in the middle that just works. Light and easy to drink too at 12%. I'm obsessed.
Great with food too
Picked this up for a seafood night and it was perfect — the lemon and green apple notes went so well with prawns. Really fine bubbles, not aggressive at all. My partner who usually drinks prosecco said this was on another level.
